I registered 888 Studios in early 2026, but the idea had been building for years. Before this, I spent time on the operational side of the apparel supply chain, coordinating production runs, chasing delayed containers, and sitting across from factory managers in apparel facilities across Hungary, Turkey, and Spain trying to negotiate terms that actually worked for smaller buyers.
The frustration was always the same. Suppliers quoted one price on paper, then added surcharges after you committed. Quality would be great on the first order, then inconsistent by the third. And if you only needed 200 units? Most serious manufacturers would not even return your email. I watched good brands get stuck because the wholesale market treated them like an afterthought.
So the thesis behind 888 was simple: be the supplier I wished existed when I was on the other side of the table. That meant transparent tier pricing published upfront, without negotiation games. It meant a 100-unit MOQ so an emerging brand in Barcelona has access to the same product quality as a chain with 50 locations. And it meant actually picking up the phone when a shipment is running late, instead of going quiet.
Today we operate from Hungary with a distribution hub in Spain and manufacturing vendors I have personally visited and vetted. Every decision, from which factories we work with to the terms we offer, comes back to one question: does this make us a better supplier for our clients? If the answer is no, we do not do it.
